We believe in our people

People make all the difference. We therefore give our 275-plus employees encompassing 24 different nationalities the attention they deserve and need. This helps them to develop and grow to reach their full potential. Our Plantify Academy and company culture play a key role here. Moreover, as a family business, we cherish the Royal Lemkes characteristics of trust and respect.

We are proud to rank among the SUB40, the top 40 ‘extremely attractive companies in the Dutch horticulture sector’. We were also voted Best Employer for 2017-2018, achieving the highest ranking of three stars.

We believe corporate culture contributes significantly to a company’s success and our HR strategy plays an important role in this. We have opted for a sustainable development policy with a strong focus on personal growth, vitality and diversity.

Everyone has their own talents, ambitions and goals

Royal Lemkes gives you plenty of opportunities to shape your career and does everything it can to support you in this. We pay genuine attention to who you are, what you do and what you aspire to be. With this in mind, we founded the Royal Lemkes Plantify Academy to provide courses that allow you to continue to develop your leadership qualities, professional knowledge and other skills and interests.

There is also a development programme for young talent. And if you want to move on to a different job after a few years, that too is possible. For example, you may be interested in a position with more responsibilities or in a role at a comparable level in another area. We believe that when you blossom, so do we!

Vitality

Working together on vitality

We believe it is important that our employees are vital and fit. Both physically and mentally. Our employees have access to GoodHabitz to follow online training courses on, among other things, mindset, time management, stress, lean and target-oriented working. Various well-being initiatives are offered by HR and Plantify Activities. Once every three years, a preventive medical examination (PMO) is organized, and all colleagues are allowed to participate. We wish to ensure resilience. Now and in the future. Our employees can also enjoy a healthy lunch. On Wednesdays, this lunch is vegetarian.

Diversity

Differences enhance our company

Whether it’s gender, age, experience, nationality or character, diversity makes our organisation more colourful, beautiful and successful. We employ over 15 nationalities and possess a dynamic blend of young talent and colleagues with many years’ experience.

In addition, we actively employ people from sheltered workshops to give everyone the chance to make a difference. Most of our employees have also completed a ‘colour code analysis’ and have discussed this during team coaching sessions. All are welcome in our family firm. Together, we can achieve much more.

Our office

Sustainable, green and sociable

As soon as you enter our sustainable office, you will experience an authentic green ambience: plants on the walls, a real vintage greenhouse as a meeting room, green style rooms showcasing the latest trends and our own Creation Lab where we work on creative concepts for our customers.

Our building is equipped with 4,000 solar panels, LED lighting and heat pumps. The solar panels generate enough energy for us to be energy neutral.
